Beyond the Bunk: Meetups for Ages 6–10
The needs of children who love someone with ALS or who have lost a loved one don’t end when camp is over... so neigher does our support of them.
Our Beyond the Bunk meetups are monthly virtual gatherings created especially for children ages 6–17. Guided by trained social workers and child life specialists, these meetups provide a safe, fun, and supportive space for kids to come together, share, and be heard.
For many of our youngest participants, Beyond the Bunk is a gentle introduction to the HLC community. It's a chance to see familiar faces, make new friends, and feel connected even before they arrive at their first Camp HLC. For returning campers, these sessions are a way to keep building friendships, finding encouragement, and discovering strength and hope along their journey.
