Nonprofit supports children and young adults who have family members affected by ALS with free camps, care packages, scholarships, and more.
January 24, 2023 – Hope Loves Company has just released its Camp HLC dates for 2023, as the nonprofit celebrates its 10 year anniversary. The media is invited to all of the camps for children and young adults who have or have had family members battling ALS, which are offered free of charge. The camps will be happening from March through November 2023.
Camp HLC offers so many fun experiences - including swimming, boating, fishing, yoga, music, games, s’mores, and more. More importantly, all children attending will meet peers going through the same challenges as young caregivers. See upcoming events below:

4.) Indiana - June 18-23, 2023: Flat Rock River YMCA Camp
5.) Massachusetts - August 11-13, 2023: Camp Emerson
6.) Georgia - October 13-15, 2023: Camp Twin Lakes, Will-A-Way
7.) California - November 17-19, 2023: Camp Campbell

Hope Loves Company is the only 501(c)3 nonprofit in the U.S. dedicated to providing emotional and educational support to children and young adults who have or had a loved one battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's disease. HLC founder Jodi O’Donnell-Ames, HLC president Gary Bachrach, and their team have hosted 46 Camp HLCs across the nation since 2012.
O’Donnell-Ames has three children – now all young adults – who have lost a parent to ALS before turning 12, so she knew from personal experience how ALS affects a family, especially children.
