Nonprofit supports children and young adults who have family members affected by ALS
December 2, 2022 – The media is invited to Hope Loves Company’s public board meeting on Monday, December 5th. Families impacted by ALS will share their stories. They will talk about how Hope Loves Company’s free programs have impacted their lives, and why they keep taking part. Hope Loves Company will share a financial overview, as well as program highlights from 2022, and new programs for 2023.
The public board meeting will take place at the Chambers Walk Cafe and Catering: 2667 Main Street in Lawrenceville, NJ. It will happen from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 pm. Appetizers will be served from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Dinner will follow the board meeting.
If you cannot make it in person, there will be an option to join the board meeting over Zoom.
Hope Love Company’s premier program is Camp Hope Loves Company. Camp HLC offers so many fun experiences - including swimming, climbing, ropes courses, archery, hiking, yoga, journaling, group therapy sessions, music, games, and s’mores. Even more important, children attending will all have something in common and can build new friendships and feel less alone in their challenges.
The camp program is free for children who have or had a parent with ALS, an incurable disease. Their families are invited to attend for free as well.
Hope Loves Company (HLC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit celebrating its 10 year anniversary. HLC is dedicated to supporting children and young adults who have family members living with ALS. It is the only nonprofit with this specific mission. HLC founder Jodi O’Donnell-Ames, HLC president Gary Bachrach, and their team have hosted about 40 Camp HLCs across the nation.
O’Donnell-Ames has three children – now all young adults – who have lost a parent to ALS before turning 12, so she knew from personal experience how ALS affects a family, especially children.

My husband had ALS/MND programme about 4 months ago. he no longer requires a feeding tube, sleeps soundly, works out frequently, and is now very active. It doesn’t make the ALS go away but it did give him better quality of life. we got the treatment from vinehealthcentre. com
