Young Adult Peer Support Circle

A monthly virtual gathering for young adults impacted by ALS to connect, share, listen, and feel less alone.

ALS affects entire families. For young adults, that experience can bring invisible grief, caregiving responsibilities, identity shifts, life changes, and uncertainty that can be hard to explain to people who have not lived it.

Hope Loves Company’s Young Adult Peer Support Circle was created to offer a safe, supportive space for young adults who have been impacted by ALS through a parent, parental figure, loved one, or youth caregiving experience. Whether you are currently caregiving, grieving, living with uncertainty, years removed from your family’s ALS experience, or simply looking for people who understand, you are welcome here. This is a space to come as you are.

About the Circle

Who It's For

When We Meet

The Young Adult Peer Support Circle is centered on honest conversation, mutual support, healing, and connection. Each month, young adults gather virtually to talk with peers who understand what it means to love someone through ALS.

There is no expectation to volunteer, advocate, lead, or serve. You do not need to have the right words or a certain kind of story. You are welcome to share, listen, reflect, or simply be present.

This group is open to young adults, ages 18 to 35+, who have been impacted by ALS, including:

  • Young adults who have or had a loved one with ALS

  • Young adult caregivers currently caregiving or with youth caregiving experience

  • Adult children of a parent or parental figure with ALS

  • Those navigating grief, loss, uncertainty, or life after ALS

You are welcome at any stage of the journey.

The Young Adult Peer Support Circle meets virtually on Zoom on the fourth Monday of every month from 8:00 to 9:30 PM ET.

2026 dates include:

You Don’t Have to Navigate This Alone

Hope Loves Company exists to remind young people impacted by ALS that they are seen, supported, and surrounded by community. The Young Adult Peer Support Circle is one more way to stay connected, find understanding, and make space for hope.
