It is happening this weekend, Friday, August 12 to Sunday, August 14 at Camp Emerson, 212 Longview Avenue in Hinsdale, MA. Camper check-in will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday. Activities will last until 9:30 p.m. Camp HLC programming will begin again on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and last until 8:45 p.m. Sunday’s activities are from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Camp Hope Loves Company (HLC) offers so many fun experiences - including hikes, games, archery, a ropes course, yoga, swimming, fishing, music and art therapy, karaoke, gymnastics, s'mores, and much more.     You’ve probably all seen “Christmas In July” stores, which can be found in just about every tourist area. The idea, of course, is if you shop in July, you will get cheaper prices than you will in December. But let’s talk about a totally different type of “Christmas in July,” like the one that is scheduled for Monday, July 25 at 8 p.m. at the Terrace Tavern, located at 13201 Long Beach Blvd. in the Beach Haven Terrace neighborhood of Long Beach Township. It is the 19th Christmas in July fundraiser the tavern has hosted to raise funds for local nonprofits. This year the recipient will be Hope Loves Company Inc., a Pennington-based nonprofit that supports children and young adults who have family members affected by ALS – amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.     Hope Loves Company Welcomes New Executive Director Shannon Sullivan joins Hope Loves Company from the ALS Association, MA chapter June 21, 2022 – Hope Loves Company (HLC) is excited to introduce its newest member. Shannon Sullivan joined HLC as Executive Director in June 2022, after spending 5 years volunteering with the organization. “I am incredibly excited to begin my journey with Hope Loves Company as Executive Director! I've always had a passion for helping others and working with kids; HLC's mission is something I've always been drawn to,” said Sullivan. Sullivan has a history of working with a wide range of diverse and vulnerable populations across the hospital and healthcare industry. She has spent the last 10 years providing resources, services, and support to those living with ALS and their families. “I have had the pleasure of working side by side with Shannon at Camp HLC MA for five years. She consistently arrived with enthusiasm, professionalism, dedication, experience, and energy. No doubt Shannon will bring the same commitment and skills to the mission of Hope Loves Company now as our Executive Director. We are all grateful to have her on our amazing team,” said HLC founder Jodi O’Donnell-Ames. “We are so fortunate to be able to add someone of Shannon’s caliber to the Executive Director role at Hope Loves Company. Sullivan’s initial years in ALS began with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, where she assisted families in navigating the disease, provided resources and support as a Health Care Services Coordinator. Two years later, she began working for the ALS Association, Massachusetts Chapter as a Care Services Coordinator, providing more case management and services to families in Central and Western Massachusetts. She worked her way up to Senior Care Services Coordinator, and for the past 4 years, has served as the Care Services Manager. HOPE LOVES COMPANY, Inc. is the only non-profit and 501c (3) in the United States with the specific goal of providing both emotional and educational support to children and young adults who have or had a loved one battling ALS.   • Hope Loves Company Welcomes Newest Member

    Emmy nominated reporter Michella Larch joins Hope Loves Company as Communications and Fundraising Specialist Pennington, NJ – 04 April 2022 – Hope Loves Company is excited to introduce its newest member. Michella Larch joined the nonprofit April 4, 2022 as the Communications and Fundraising Specialist. She has more than eleven years of experience as an Emmy nominated reporter, anchor, and producer. Larch has worked at three different news stations, most recently with Abc27 in Harrisburg, PA as the weekend morning anchor, producer, and reporter. While there, the Sunday 8:00 am morning show became the most watched news program on Sunday mornings, surpassing Good Morning America and the weekend Today show. She also received an Emmy nomination for her work on a story titled "Hope" about an animal rescue’s program for veterans. Larch also worked at WDVM in Hagerstown, MD. She was there for four years as the station’s weekday morning and noon anchor, producer and reporter. Before that, she worked for WSLS in Roanoke, VA where she started as a news producer in May 2010. Larch worked her first year while still attending Virginia Tech. Larch, like so many, believes Hope Loves Company is making a huge difference in the lives of children. “As the oldest of seven kids, I’ve always felt a calling to lead and help children, especially those who have or had a parent with ALS. I can’t imagine what they’re going through. I want to help them in any way that I can, and I am hopeful that by sharing their stories, we can show more people just how much Hope Loves Company is changing lives,” said Larch. HOPE LOVES COMPANY, Inc. is the only non-profit and 501c (3) in the United States with the specific goal of providing both emotional and educational support to children and young adults who have or had a loved one battling ALS. Titusville, New Jersey resident and founder of HLC, Jodi O’Donnell-Ames, lost her husband to ALS in 2001, so she knows from personal experience how ALS affects a family, especially children.
